SOC 1.2 Identify the founders of sociology and explain their impact

KEY PEOPLE

As you are studying Sociology it is important to give credit to those men and women who created the subject that you are studying. The founders tend to be a component that classes in the past have struggled with. I'm including in here three videos that should help with the key sociologists. At the bottom I've also included a sampling of YouTube Videos and a Quizlet link if you need additional help. 

 

Moving up that family tree, early Sociologists created a functionalist view of society and the conflict view of society. The sociologists that contributed most to these ideas are in the video below and can be found in your textbook chapter 1. 

Our last group of sociologists to study are the symbolic interactionalists.
