SOC 2.3 Social Institutions

SOC 2.3 asks that students can create a claim about how a social institution impacts a society.

First you will need to make sure that you are comfortable with social institutions.
          These are patterns of organization that mean basic needs of society and include statuses, roles, values, and norms.
           Examples include: Education, Family, Politics, Religion etc...

Second you will need to make a claim about the impact of a institution. To do this you will be pulling from a given reading to create a claim related to the impact of ___________ in ________ society.
Remember claims should be debatable, specific, and include evidence from the article to support.
